Sold my Super last year and just recently bought my first standard ('71) ...
It has front beam adjusters welded in but I'm not sure how or the best way to use them.
The previous owner dropped it considerably, which looks ok but not my taste, simply wanting to raise it an inch or 2.
What's the simplest way to go about this?

There are two different designs.
The "Sway-a-Way" style:

...and the "Avis" type:

Which do you have?

I have the same type and issue. How did you do it? I found when I had the front on axel stands and the wheels right off the ground, realeased the adjusters and re tightened them, it was still was too low.

Did you pull down on wheels while (both) adjusters where loose... Also if you have "lowered" shocks, they might limit the down travel while trying to adjust torsions....1938vw wrote:I have the same type and issue. How did you do it?
