HOw is it to do a little chamfering on the valve outside face , like in the pic?
or will it get to weak in the outside area?
these are titanium valves.
i'm trying to get proper valve/piston clearance and the pockets in the WBX pistons are pretty deep already
the pockets are sort of rounded in the bottom , so a little chamfer would help....

worried about to little material in the ring area.

Fasty, it wont hurt to radius all the edges plenty, especialy the one on the shoulder, but not too the red lines in the photo, just knock all the corners off, then lap them in when finished, is that one an exhaust valve? looks a nice wide seat, you can narrow the inlet seats with a bit more radii.

thx bbb , yes these are the exhaust valves.
well it's the area outside the red lines that come i conflict, so you would not recomend a slight chamfer there at all?
will also check further valve diameter , if there's some hundreds/mm to gain there.
the plate is dish is really thick on these valves

Oh yea, you'll be ok to radius that part youve marked, ive never worked with Ti (yet) so cant comment on what its like to work, as its an exhaust valve, just a gentle radius.
