Sub frame bolts spinning
I am in the process of trying to remove my Thing body from the frame. Almost 1/2 of the bolts on the side rails are spinning free. What is the easiest way to overcome this? Should I cut them, cut above them, or what? I know you guys have a lot of experience and could use some help.

Re: Sub frame bolts spinning
Only two reasons why they'd spin. Either the nutplates spotwelded into the body have come free, or the threads are corroded/stripped. Try levering the pan away from the body to place the bolts under tension while attempting to loosen them (a 3/8" 'butterfly" air wrench saves a lot of elbow grease here).
If all else fails you can drill the heads off of the bolts with a well-placed 5/16" or 3/8" bit - that'll get the body off, but of course you'll still need to do real repairs before it's ready to bolt back on.
