about 7 years ago I purchased a 1969 karmann ghia. loved ghias since i first saw one when i was about 10, when I was 15 I found my 69 about 40 miles away. it didnt run and the guy got it as payment for something. I bought it for $400 and found some pleasant surprises and some sad surprises too. The good surprises included solid floor pans, a NIB 40 kadron carb kit, and brand new KYB air shocks.

pretty dang rusty, previous owner was a sawzal ninja and made deciding to go rotary an easy decision.

this is the day i bought it

now the rotary bit. found a good 13b with standalone efi controller, transmission, radiator(dunno if i'm gonna use it or go a different route), transmission (not much use to me) all for $500

might be a bit slow updating this but its sure gonna be sweet when i'm done.

well... just getting back to the car because a friend gave me a 97 legacy L awd 5 speed for free. when i went to purchase the 13b and accessories the gent suddenly thought it was worth gold and wanted almost double what i had posted above. I am not able to work on it often as it is at my parents house some 250 miles away i do go back about 2 times per month but usually end up helping out with other projects. my goal is to work on my ghia and bike (restoring a 1968 husqvarna) at the same time so funds are strained.
