Wiring Grommets

Post by Max Welton »

I am rewiring my 67 type-1 KG and don't have the stock harness for reference.

What have people used for grommets where the wires pass through the headlight buckets and bodywork?

Hi Max,

If you're going for functional, you can improvise grommets from rubber hose split to fit and glued or hose-clamped in place, to grommet assortments from the auto parts store.

If you need concors, you've have to go to

... they are out there.

Good luck,

Some catalogs list this as a beetle part, some list it as ghia also. I don't know who to believe but this does fit the idea;

Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.
