1970 ghia convertible riviera wheels with 185/70 15 tires rub over bumps and hard cornering. Does anyone have a suggestion on a fix without going to a smaller tire size? I've heard that the empi porsche alloy has more inset than the riviera. If thats true whats needed to change my 4 lug to 5 lug pattern?

If you're willing to do some body work, you can reduce the size of the rib on the wheel well.

As for 4 to 5 lug adapters, my instinct tells me that is not a good choice.

What's the width of your rims?

Which tires rub, front or rear?

Also, when you mention that you don't want "smaller" tires, are you referring to width or diameter? You can easily go to
a 185/65(or60)/15 and that probably won't rub.
