Questions about installing front seat covers
Have 67 ghia. How does the front back panel go together? I put the seat cover over the front and tied it to the frame. Now you put the vinyl on the back board. If so how do you install the piping around the edge of the back board? I have been told that you staple it to the back board but if you do the staples would come through the vinyl? If you mounted the piping first to the back board then when you wrap the vinyl it would cover the piping up? Any suggestions?

Hi GhiaGhia67,
Most of us are good with wrenches. But upholstery, etc., is a highly specialized skill.
I've never even attempted a Ghia seat cover swap!
Lack of intelligent response out there is due to inexperience, not people ignoring you.

Re: Questions about installing front seat covers
The upper seat back is clipped into place with large hooks (flat sheet metal) that are folded into that back. I think the norm is to staple the beading to that back, then clip it in place. On mine I used an extra self tapping screw to keep the backing board in place.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.
