Long time reader, Finally posting here! Hello from Michigan!

Post by TedzBug »

I've been reading many, many posts on here, samba, suberbeetlesonly, germanlook... Trying to educate and figure things out before asking too many questions. This is my third ACVW i've owned. A '65 pan glass buggy that ended up with a 1915 with dual 40idfs that was fast and fun. a 72 super that was too rusty to play in the long run and now the 75 sunroof super that i've hung onto through the tough times...
How it looked right after i got it... :)

Direction i'm going...

Finally making some progress on the project that i've owned for 8 years that i haven't driven in years now... Drove it daily for a couple years then I spun it out some years ago and have not had any funds to put into it for a long while. Well, this year i've finally come to a point to make some progress. Tore apart the suspension to cleanup and install some new bits, 944 rear torsion bars (23.5mm) and tore apart the front to turn my adjusta-struts into QA1 sprung coilovers.

Also in process of an engine rebuild with many ideas and plans... Gonna be a fun german looker when i'm done with it :)

Thanks for looking, watch for a bit of updates and some questions going forward

Very nice! What are you doing with the engine rebuild - another 1915, or something different?

Current plan is a Turbo'd 1776 with Megasquirt2 for fuel/ignition... That way i can save some money on heads/headwork ;)

I currently alread have a Superstreet trans built by KCR about 6-7 years ago that will handle the power, also going to run Type 2 CVs

Unsure about some pistons i just picked up though....
