I would like to eliminate all antennas from my Squareback since this car will be doing dual street/race duties in the near future. I see these hidden amplified antennas on eBay for between $20 - $40 and I wonder what your experiences are with these??

FWIW, I listen to a lot of AM radio as well as some FM, so I'm wondering how well they work with AM (since AM is a much noisier band). Thanks.

It is half the cost to get them from local FLAPS, I don't feel that they work very well on FM
