fan mod?
So my buddy has a bug and it has this sort of "gear drive" sound much like a V8 would have with the right parts. My buddy wont tell me how to make this mod, all he says it a mod to the fan. It sounds kick a$$, Does anyone know anything about this?

Maybe a playing card stuff into the fan blades so it sounds like a Harley?

I've run plenty of stock in shroud steel coolers, the kind that fell out of fashion after the dog house become plentiful. One thing I haven't done is cut the metal diffuser screen out, what I seem to remember is that it was an old school trick to create some sort of cool noise.
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

You gotta run the electric supercharger on there.

It makes a shrill whistling sound at high RPM - different, but not exactly "cool" IMO...and of course you sacrifice the only protection there is for the cooler against any rocks or stray hardware that might find its way into the fan inlet.sideshow wrote:I've run plenty of stock in shroud steel coolers, the kind that fell out of fashion after the dog house become plentiful.
