oil cooler

Post by mlrailguy »

Was wondering about oil flow, from adapter to cooler. Which port is out and which is in?

The trend in coolers are non-directional
Yeah some may call it overkill, but you can't have too much overkill.

While it probably makes no difference to the cooler, it still might be helpful to know - for example, if one is installing a temp gauge sending unit.
On the top of the case, the port closest to the oil pump/oil pressure switch is "out"; that translates to the top port of the common external-cooler adapter which faces the flywheel end of the engine.
