I can not remove the muffler to remove the engine. I made the rear panel too close to the engine to remove the engine.

Is there a muffler the will work in this situation.....or do I have to remake the panel.

Every non-stock muffler I've ever encountered was at least as "tight" a fit as the stocker, so the best long-term solution for you (since this body will never be concours d'elegance material anyway) probably would be to build a valance panel with a little "bulge" in it - or perhaps a removable (louvered?) insert...
