Several years ago I glued foil-backed insulation to the luggage compartment and under the rear seat. But there's still a lot of noise. I want to switch to a low-restriction muffler which will be even more noisy. I have enough insulation to glue under the rack, above the engine. Bad idea?
Any other suggestions?

Re: Insulation question
I would think you need more of a sound damper than insulation. Check with a audio shop on what they recommend, foil type insulation doesn't do much for sound reduction, maybe that is why there is still " a lot of noise".
