Why do you think you need a hardweld cam?
Hard weld is to be avoided at all costs on an ACVW, as aftermarket oversized cam cores are cheap and plentiful.
Tool steel or ceramic lifters would probably be the most likely to work awhile though.
Hard welding is generally only done on engines that only have stock cams as cores.
(a common problem with Japanese cars, no aftermarket cam cores, odd as they are so popular)
A steel roller cam core would probably be a better plan for reliability if you need some really weird profile or very wide lobe center (The oversized cast cores still have dimensional limits for larger combinations of lobe center and duration, the steel ones are IIRC machined from round billet).
