This build isn't everyones cup of tea.... most don't know me as I usually just dig through pics but I figured I might as well show the latest build.

1973 Ghia the day I brought her home


Had to give her a bath and throw on some spare wheels




Somewhere down the line she suffered some body damage. Over an inch thick of filler and painted green. Found the original Amber color was still lurking


Time to do work


I run my cars LOW... not most peoples version of low... but LOW. Bought some Atomwerks drop plates for out back and then built a 6" narrowed beam


Pulled the body to do some pan work and also pie cut the pan head






Out with the old, in with the new










While the body was off, previous owner chopped some holes in the parcel shelf. Patch time

Curious where you scored the pan section?
IIRC Ghia pan is ~identical to t3 other than the frame head.

Looks like it will be a nice setup.

If you decide to ditch the bumpers late T3s also take the same ones.

Thanks for the info Piledriver. I bought the floor pan patches through Tabco. From what I read online they were a nice quality and a good fit. I will say I had a patch that the previous owner purchased through Mid America, the Tabcos are a thicker quality by far

More pics! Your pics are instructional for many. Just the kind of detail shots members may be looking for. What seems pretty straightforward to some can be very intimidating for first timers. And the chance of getting a car without need of basic repairs is not very good these days. Seeing pics of even the lowly floorboard is just what the doctor ordered for some!

I appreciate it Doc. I try to take as may pics as possible for others to learn. Not everyone can afford or have the resources to pay to have the work done. I learned everything I know by trial and error so I do my best to save others the error part

That was something I definitely wasn't looking forward to. Very slow process between a wire wheel and a DA

Also got a start on the dash. Wan't a huge fan of the late plastic steering wheel. Tried out an earlier steering wheel.... just picked up an earlier ivory column as well so I could relocate the ignition switch into the dash. Someone it her life they chopped the dash for an CD player, not working for me. This car is a mutt anyway so I am going to graft an earlier radio section in since I wont be running a dash cover. Time to fill in some holes

Not as much progress as I would have liked to post, unfortunately life has been busy but now that Christmas is over.... back on track

Time for some quarter work. Trying to keep this car rough looking but done correctly at the same time
