dans parts still open?

Nah not closed just away for a few weeks sorting some stuff that came up. Bit of a PITA by being self employed myself I understand that there is only so much horse power in the engine room and sometimes things come up which need addressing.

And, as I just learned. They only ship out twice per week and you must order before Wednesday if you expect to see it in a reasonable amount of time. Extended office hours do nothing if you can't get the parts to the people in a reasonable amount of time. Besides e-mail going unanswered and the phone being unanswered twice during business hours.

My order from Thursday "should" get shipped out tomorrow... They don't even have it assembled yet according to them, even though it's been 6 days. I won't even know if there is a backorder until they pull the parts. Maybe this should be more clear on the website or checkout instead of buried into the shipping policies... That way you know that I know not to shop with you if there is a product that I'd like to see in a week or less.

Front end project, delayed again. At least I know now why Dan's has seemed horribly slow in the shipping process and what to expect in the future if I need to use them again.

I could have had the parts to my door yesterday for same shipping cost from any of my other suppliers. Now I'll be lucky to see it Friday but more likely on Monday of next week... 12 days.

Tim
The extened hours that Iguana listed in the early post was from LAST year (2015) We have since then gone through some changes. We strive to find the best and the most economical way to help out our customers and to keep the end product cost as low as possible. In the last 12 months we have gone through alot of changes but in the end we feel we have found the only way to give our customers the lowest prices possible on the internet but the only trade off was just a little longer ship time. Thanks to Amazon and Ebay, you can get your stuff quicker but in most cases it will cost more or you have limited items to choose from.

As far as your email not being answered, you sent us an email this morning and with the volume of emails that I receive on a daily basis I try my hardest to answer them within 24hrs. With that being said, you did call this afternoon and the girls in the office told you that your order will ship tomorrow therefore I didn't feel the need to answer the question in your email since it was addressed over the phone.

This is an internet based business. We do not have a store front therefore we do not have the personnel sitting behind a desk 12 hours a day to take the occasional phone call. You do have the ability to leave a voice mail and I do return all calls within 24 hours.

I have a phrase for for vendors I use that ship the same day or next day:
"regular customer"

I'll merrily pay an extra buck or two to get it in 2 days, but if it doesn't ship for a week ... Last time I shop there.
Long shipping delay policies need to be clearly stated up front.
Or better---fixed.
The vast majority of businesses manage to get stuff out the door in 24 hours or less.

If it really takes a week+ to pull an order and have it picked up you might want to fix that.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Thank Dan for your response.

I was frustrated that when I thought I'd have parts to work with, they were not there. It was my fault for not reading the fine print. As a customer, I'd like to have the option to break something on Saturday, and have it fixed by Saturday. I cannot do that with your company with current shipping policy.

There was a thread a while back about looking for suggestions to improve shipping. This is the suggestion I was trying to make... "This order will ship on 1/1/2000" should appear on your receipt, in the email, or somewhere visible. I do not read policies on a regular basis.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I hope this feedback has helped. I work in customer service and know that it is rare for a customer to give honest negative feedback when it is far easier to just switch providers.
