Man, that's really cool. Well done for fitting it all in! Currently struggling with the same issue.

Nice build!
Can you give more specs on the engine/turbo?
I'm building almost a same combo..

The Engine is not so special, FK 89 Camshaft, 1700CC Cylinderheads,Copper gaskets, around 8,0/1,
Mahle Pistons, polished original Connecting Rods, bigger Valves, dual Valvesprings.

Nice! Like the other guys I'm going the same route, and your hp number is exactly where I want to be. Did you do any port work to your heads? Are you running forged 94mm Mahles?

Re: 2L Typ 4
Yes , it´s a FK 89. It was an attempt , i bought the Long Block with the original 914 Cam but it produces a lot of heat and not much power. Then i thought ,try the opposit way ,together with bigger valves and less CR. With 0,6 bar boost without chargecooler i am now at 230 HP. It rev´s over 7000 RPM . Boost starts at 3000 RPM. The Turbo is to big for my combo , it´s like driving an old 930.

just registered you are probably running bus pistons, so basically stock bottom end.

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Nothing special, it's a AT Gearbox with 0,89 forth gear welded synchrocone, heavy duty retainer nut and thrust Plate.Udo Airbus wrote:Hi,
