Troy Sellars has gone low 6's at over 115 with one on a street car.

Re: 50 DCOE?
My old 45 DCOE made over 350 whp. DHLA's will flow more than the DCOE's but parts are more scarce. In the old days Kawell wouldn't touch a Weber, now he won't touch a Dellorto because their are no more parts available needed too modify them.
Try finding a glass ball needle and seat for a Dell. I looked for months and never found one. But my 48 DHLA drives so nice on the street and track but part of the puzzle is the whole fuel system, not just the carb. My carb guy has a bunch of hours in my mine.

Re: 50 DCOE?
So just an update for anyone who cares. Been driving my car up to 3 times a week in the summer Florida heat. Drove it to the track last week, about 12 miles each way. Ran a 7.20 with a huge wheelie pulling to the wall and then a 6.98 at 100with a crappy 1.52 60'. This is on 14 psi with a very soft tuneup. Drives like a Cadillac on the street.
For anyone who thinks they can't have a 6 second low boost street car on the cheap, it can be done. This thing is as low budget as you can get. Time to turn it up to see what it can do with the bigger jets now.
Side drafts rule!

Re: 50 DCOE?
I would guess mine would be about 12-15 mpg on the street. This is pretty close but depends on how heavy my foot is. I would say on the track I'm not even getting 2 mpg. After a few passes I'm topping off at least with a gallon or so.

Re: 50 DCOE?
Actually I'm pretty happy with the mileage. The main jets are drilled so they're pretty large. I can find out. Fuel pressure at idle is about 2 psi but it is boost referenced ago I don't know what it comes up to under boost cause I don't have a gauge in the car. Need to get a new gauge, I have a mechanical one now but not using since they are no longer legal at NHRA and IHRA tracks with the isolater.
I do have a gauge after the regulator before the carb.
It definitely is a little fat on the street so I'm giving away some mileage but I really don't care to lean it out for better mileage. My jetting on the dyno for all 3 boost settings on the Turbosmart controller showed good AFR's under boost so I'm happy with it.
Jeremy Owen and Paradise Motorsports have me very pleased.

Re: 50 DCOE?
So you run the race jets on the street then. That explains a lot. High 6s in the 1/8th gotta be dipping into the 10s in the 1/4. Very impressive! Re: 50 DCOE?
Don't feel alone on the fat jetting
I too am rich at cruising, if I didn't have the A/F gauge on the dash I wouldn't know it, cuz I runs purdy good,, I have the useless when driving, fuel pressure gauge on my FPR(on the rear firewall) which is also boost referenced,, Like "The Baron " said you get 'Idle & Boost" "nature of the beast'

Re: 50 DCOE?
I's basically a very safe tune up for the street 14 psi. I can run the same jetting at 19 psi as well which is where it really starts to move. Havent made a good pass yet at 19 psi. I have another jet combo for my 24 psi setup that I have. Havent tried that setup yet but it made 371 to the wheels with that boost and jetting.
I'm using a Turbosmart E-boost 2 for the controller. Still getting my head wrapped around it.
My goal is to get the car into the 6.80's on 14 psi and then start with the 19 psi setup which should really run good as the AFR's look really good at that boost level.
Hopefully these 2 pic/links work
