Hello! I have one of these fuel pumps:
https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/1131270 ... /#esp_pg=2
I need to remove it and rotate the top to allow enough clearance between the fuel pump and the intake manifold so, I can use a ¼ inch I.D. fuel hose without the hose touching the manifold.
Is it OK to re-use the diaphragm under the top or should I definitely replace the diaphragm?
I was considering using the diaphragm in this kit:

or this

Thanks In Advance!
Until I get an answer, I might replace it with a Bocar fuel pump VW 113127025GB that has a clip on each side of the pivot shaft to help hold it in place.

Re: Rebuildable fuel pump question – help please!
I'd decide based upon the condition of the diaphragm. Many pump diaphragms don't do well when exposed long-term to E85 gas. If you can reassemble the pump without causing any puckering/wrinkling at the edges (lining up the parts so the same areas of the diaphragm are compressed as they were in the original orientation) it should work fine. Just be sure to check meticulously for any leakage.

I have always been using pure non ethanol gas since using that fuel pump.
