Dry media synthetic filters for Webers

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Dry media synthetic filters for Webers

Post by Piledriver »

This is probably old news for the ORF, but I have been looking for decent oval filters for Webers since dirt was new...
I have regularly searched for them,(AMSOIL made an EA version briefly) but tonight Google got a hit.

THESE ARE EXCELLENT, EASILY CLEANABLE AIR FILTERS
(unlike oiled gauze, which are absolutely lousy filters even if you can clean them, messily)

These will fit std CB air cleaner bases and tops etc.
You may still need to grease the base and top seal as the CB castings are rough.
(the thick/sticky urethane bushing silicone grease works great, the K&N filter sealing grease also works)

They make a 6" tall version as well, and in a couple of larger oval sizes.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Going to run a prefilter over them or no need to?
