But the fluid leaked around the plastic fittings in the rubber bungs. I need a better solution.

Does anyone have an OEM option that would replace a regular VW style twin circuit reservior? I've found a couple of weird things like 99' renault megane and 99-05' ford focus. But they don't seem to be easily found down here in Australia. Other ideas? I'm getting sick of this and just want to finish the damn car. (In truth I'd sell it today).

Wouldn't a factory VW reservoir from a 80'sor 90's waterpumper work? You might be able to connect hose directly to it.

Need a specific car model please. I found one for a Mk1 golf, but they're out of stock and special order. I guess that means they're not made anymore.

This is the only real big clue to the real deal.
Along with some well hidden part numbers on the rubber seals underneath...
Both came with level switches on the lids.
I bought the Chinese (I think) unit from Motorsport Tools UK on Ebay. It cost me AU$53 including shipping from the UK to Australia. The other one was bought locally from Motorsport Connections for AU$220. OUCH! Now, in reality, the only real faulty part on the cheap kit was the rubber seals. However, you can't find them on the net and the original supplier doesn't carry spares either. So, watch out. It seemed a good deal to me, but in the end, it's been two more weeks with my car off the road and brake fluid everywhere. All let down by 2 cheap seals I can't find a replacement for. I still have to install the new part and bleed the whole brake system.

Motorsport Tools UK has offered me a refund which is good, but I suspect I'll still be out of pocket for shipping.

Won't hurt to check on shipping. Make them deal with their junk.

Thanks Andy. I sent it off last week. Dunno if it's turned up there yet. I'm hoping the supplier is going to be helpful. They've made most of the right noises so far. Let's see if they follow through.
