Muffler choice for turbo street car

I'm in the process of gathering parts for my 1955cc turbo Ghia. It looks like no one offers amything off the shelf for the muffler side of the exhaust. I'm having A1 build me a stainless steel hide-away style header, but they don't do anything for the muffler side wither. I definitely want the car to have a nice exhaust note, but I don't want it to be too loud.

Can some of you share your muffler set ups?

Don't know if this would work for you,but it's nice and small,I felt It made more power with it than just the straight pipe off the turbo.

I have a resonator on mine, bit like a cherry bomb, a single quiet pack muffler was rubbish. knocked power off a lot.

Your turbo will do most of the muffling. I've got a resonater like Garrick, but a lot of guys don't need a muffler at all. Try it first with a long down pipe and then put a resonater on if you need it.

Mine is quite loud without a muffler. I bought a magnaflow with 2.5" in and out on the same side. The photo doesn't show the actual tip in place. Very good sound to it.

I use the same muffler and am very happy with it.

Thanks for the replies! Chip & Mario, did you just have the local muffler shop fit up the Magnaflow for you?

I built my own header and mounted the muffler as well. This is a pretty old picture but you get the idea. Down the track you could only hear the other car

Used an A1 header, but built everything after the turbo myself. I went with the muffler to make driving it more pleasant. Didn't change a thing inside, solid mounts and such. But outside its a different story. Same problem as Mario, you can only hear my wastegate dumping, if anything, when racing others on the strip.
