New guy here, not new to VW but back in the bug world for good this time. Picked up a 70 Baja from a buddy after years of bugging him to sell it. It sat for about a year so I massaged her back to life and figured out his intermittent transaxle issue. 2nd gear was gone. After locating the local VW master I picked up a solid stock trans and stabbed it in. Been great so far. I have a 2165 motor going in shortly to replace the tired old 1600. Shortly after that a built bus box. Overall she’s pretty darn clean. And seriously fun. Suspension and paint to come soon ( the orange has got to go). See you guys around.
