2165 high compression build

Hi everyone

I am getting to the point where I’m going to order what I need to start my engine build. This is my thought and I’m looking for any tips or insight. Thanks

2165 high compression E85 motor

New aluminum case from 2 brothers
4340 78mm crank
H beam rods 5.5
94 mm b pistons
Straight cut gears
26mm oil pump

Not sure on cam, Rod, crank or cam bearings, rocket arms, carbs or injection.

I was looking at 2nrothers website and may try and order as much as I can from them. They’re reputable and can do the machine work and balance work all there.

Sounds fun! What are you thinking for heads? Street or strip?

I was gonna talk to brothers and see what their opinion is. Probably D ports and 44 intakes 37 exhaust. There is a lot that goes into them as you know and I want to see what their thoughts are. It’s gonna be a street car but I live close enough to the track I can run it on amateur nights.

Why 2165?

It will actually be easier to build a bigger engine.

78mm crank and B pistons will need shorter cylinders.

I would do a 82/84mm crank and as big of a cam and heads as possible.

FK89 and 48/40 Comp Eliminators.

With a good port job, 250hp is pretty easy. You can go 13-13,5-1 on E85
