I am getting ready to do a rebuild on a 34 PICT-3 carb.
I heard a negative story about using the white rectangular float so, I kept using the 49 year old black float from an original Solex 34 PICT-3 carb.
Although it does not leak, that black float has some pitting on the outside of it.
I am considering using the white float that comes in the rebuild kit.
Are the white floats more suitable for today's ethanol fuels?
