Ok guys,
I am now starting my build using a CB hideaway header. I am looking for opinions as to if or not this header is going to work on my Draw Thru plans.
Is a full body with lid 67 Beetle.
CB Hideaway 1.5" header with 2" pipe X 12 - 14" extension to the T3 turbo, a Holley 600 feeding into the turbo.
2110 stroker with Ponchito heads, 1.25 rockers, CB 2246 cam, straight cut gears, full flow, 8.3-1 cr.
As always, opinions are appreciated..
Mark

Of course it will work! Really any header can be made to work. Just have to make the appropriate up pipe.

It won’t work very well.
The air/fuel mix will need to travel uphill from the turbo compressor to the inlet valves.
You’ll probably find that it’ll be a pig to tune because all of the low air speeds during cruise will mean lots of fuel puddling....
for draw thru, you really need to mount the turbo higher than the inlet valves.

Dan,
The way I plan to set it up is using a 12" to 14" extension from the turbo header (UP) to the Turbo in which will be sitting right above the Alternator on the left side.. The Holley will feed right into the side of the Turbo and blow DOWN into the intake pipe to the heads.
