Just wondered if there was some pretengineers out here that could give me some ideas on how to get more air across the core of my air to water intercooler radiator. I have no fan on top of it right now but I will. Just have to get a shroud made etc.
As for the bottom. Do you think a 27" x 7" aluminum cover on the bottom with some or one louver(s) in it to help grab the passing air.
You going to have your bus at GCVWS next weekend????
Look me up....I should be at Mission and hope to make the show Sunday.

I would think any kind of scoop would have to help direct airflow through it. I was thinking something maybe like the lower engine tin "toboggan" that would scoop a large amount of air and force it up through the exchanger? Might have to create some sort of dimples in the bottom to let any water that gets in, back out though. I was thinking dimples so the air might rush past the holes without flowing out of them. A couple small holes would do I would think. Or even make it so it sloped back toward the opening so the water could run back out. Or both? Like an upside-down big ole Mopar hood scoop!
Is the opening towards the front? It might work but I am not sure plus you still have the pass through air problem and the tight to the body wind exit problem to deal with.
Tough question but I suspect people have done it satisfactorily.
