3/8 fuel line -6AN fittings. Good results?

Hello, I am fully restoring my 1965 vw bug sedan. I am redoing the gas line to stainless steel and was wondering is 3/8 is ok instead of 1/4 OEM. The black stainless steel is solid and I will be running true 44 weber carbs. I will also be running a Facet electric fuel pump close to the tank and pressure regulator from cb performance. Has anyone run this setup, or thoughts? I was told Webers prefer a slightly bigger line.
Thanks

I haven't used the Facet pumps though a lot of people do without issue. As for the plumbing, 3/8" line and -6 fittings are more than adequate for dual 44IDFs. There a plenty of people running larger carbs (45DRLAs, 46/48IDFs, 48IDAs) on the stock fuel line.

The type of facet pump matters...
I have seen the smaller units last decades, or a few months.
I had a newer plastic bodied one die completely after less than 1000 miles...
I have a Facet dura-lift as a feeder on my tdi, integral see-through water separator/ss filter.
Has been bullet proof and has a great reputation.

IMO you'd be better off with 5/16" line. Easier to bend/fit inside the tunnel.
Instead of the Facet pump, get the Carter 60504, then ditch the pressure regulator, it's built-in with the Carter.

4 psi pump?
my bad, the recommended replacement puts out 4 psi.
That would need a pressure regulator to put out 2.5 psi.
The only 1.5-2.5 pumps on Summit are holley and k&N plastic Facet E-series lookalikes, might be rebrands or chinese knockoffs //
https://www.summitracing.com/search/par ... si%3A2-psi.
3psi has similar choices but is actually pushing it for std Webers.
(too much pressure makes webers pee internally, causes
interesting tuning issues no jet swaps can fix.)
Facet makes an industrial//lift pump used for diesel reefers (ac unit up high) had built in warer separator/ss filter/clear filter housing called a Dura-lift, I put one on my 1999 tdi as a feeder pump (vw omitted a feeder pump for a couple years until they came to their senses in 2001)
3 meter dry lift... Dozens of versions, but I dont think they make a <3 psi pump, but the flow rate and reliability are decent.
Not cheap in either usage of the word, but likely to greatly outlast anything much less expensive.
