Help me identify this piece of metal that fell out of my motor

So I pulled my motor down to the short block to do pistons/cylinders and heads for a turbo build I'm doing. This was apparently floating around in the bottom end. It's two aluminum pieces of something cylindrical, and appears to have a groove on the ID. The block is a CB (Auto Linea) bubble block.
Any ideas of what it is?

It's from the head. Part of the guide boss. You have double springs, right?

If that's the case, how would it get to the bottom end?

Through pushrod tubes. looks small enough.
Looks like there might be more of it still hanging out someplace.

That's what I was thinking, but how would it get past the lifter since they don't fully exit the lifter bores. Haven't seen this so just trying to understand.

the cases have a drainback hole between the end of the pushrod tube and lifter bore.
(otherwise the oil could not drain back to the sump)

See if it will fit, easy to check with the case apart.

Bummer, time to tear down the rest and find the remaining bits.
