Looking for suggestions on the right size turbo. I have an 1835 with 8.0 to 1 compression. It has 40 35.5 valves and a web cam 218 with 120 lob center also Efi Microsquirt .Looking for a turbo to come in before 2000rpm.

Why I’m looking to come in so early it’s a street rail and weighs in at 1200 lbs.And do not want to rev it to the moon to make power.

It has tall gearing and very tall back tire.

Turbos are usually sized by the anticipated horse power you want to achieve.
For example... if you want 500 hp you need a turbo capable of supporting that goal.
In my experience...... for an 1835 you might want to target between 250-300 hp depending on the boost limit you are putting on it.
That puts you right at a TD04L-13T...... it supports up to 270 crank hp and with a 1835 you would see boost starting at approximately 2000 rpm.
For more hp you can upgrade it to a 19T for 300-330 hp.
For the money though... 13T is the way to go. It will give you everything you want for as little as $60.00 if you can find one at that price.
Keep your IAT’s around ambient and you will be a happy camper....

A gt 15 would probably boost right of idle but would be a heat pump in the top end I'd assume they are pretty cheap
