Lost a good friend

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Lost a good friend

Post by bajaherbie »

It's been a few weeks now but I still have trouble with it. My best friend Terry D. passed away at 57 years of age. He was my electrician, my automotive enthusiast friend, and an all around good guy. Our kids graduated together.

He had a LS powered 68 Nova and did part of the Hot Rod Power Tour a couple years ago. We always talked about the TV show Sleep Outlaws(what we called it anyway). He really liked my Crown Vic too!

He had just taken a union job in Austin Texas, felt bad at work one morning, took the day off, stopped at walmart and died in the parking lot of a heart attack.

I spoke a little at his funeral, afterwards we were allowed to do burnouts in the parking lot of the funeral home.

Rest in peace my friend.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Good thoughts from me Herb. Loosing a best friend is about the same as losing a close family... I am sure all our thoughts are with you and the other best friends too.

Sorry for your loss, Herbie. We just attended the funeral of one of my friends from high school three weeks ago. Same situation - lost him from a heart attack. We are finally at the age where we seem to attend more funerals than weddings anymore. Godspeed to your friend.
