Hi guys.. I wonder if anyone can identify my case, just a vw logo with 3 numbers. I believe it should be a 2.1.

It's a 2.1 case.
Pistons are high compression, so it was a DJ engine.
Pretty sure the engine was rebuilt by VW hence the stamp and ground off engine number.
If the pistons are in spec reuse them as they are forged whereas most replacements are cast and inferior.
