I´m Ruben from belgium and just bought my first bus together with my girlfriend.

Some may know me from the Turbotub topic in the forced induction part of this forum.

Plans for the bus are, mildly restore the original westfalia interior, some welding and full new running gear and brakes etc...

Engine will be a type 4 2L engine.

The back looks like this. Like new...

Also removed the airco system that was fitted.
Needs a new windscreen also.

Will post as I make progress.

Greetz!!

Whoo! i see a lot of work in your future.
One thing i learned from going through mine (again) is that stock never goes out of style ;-)
Well, that and having a proper shop or a paint booth is a wonderful thing..

I´m keeping it as stock as possible for originality and relaiability.

Working on removing the dash.

The metal part of the dash under the windscreen is rusted also but can´t seem to find a repro?

The wiring is a mess... pffffff

Dash is out, no more funny suprises, only the welding I knew of.

Asked for another quote for getting my welding done. More new tomorrow.

Cleaning the westfalia interior for storage whil working on other stuff and making room.

I want to delete the sink and water tank and pump and plumbing.

I want a little gas stove to cook water for coffee.

So looking for a gas pit that fits in that sink - spot.

Any ideas?

Probably for A-frame towing popular in usa.
At least westfalia interior parts well /much reproduced!
