I use an 15mm front sway bar on my torsion beam standard beetle. It’s a mild upgrade from stock & better suited for road use, in my opinion, than the usual 19mm bar. The spring rate increases by the 4th power of diameter increase, so a 15mm bar is 2.5times the spring rate of a 12mm bar and the 19mm bar is over 6times that 12mm bar spring rate.

However it was a Whiteline product that hasn’t been available for a long time (mine was one of the last pair made).

However CSP is now making a 15mm bar, if you are interested, for ball joint beams & 14mm for link-pin.

Sometimes bigger is better, other times maybe not.

Do you have a link to the CSP options?

Back in the 70s, EMPI made a 5/8" sway bar (15.875 mm). If you search hard enough, you might find one, just like my friend.

This is 3 times stiffer than the stock 12 mm coat hanger.
