Hi all,
Thanks for allowing me to join.
I was heavily in the VW Split Kombi scene last millennium but took 20 odd years off and got into Fords ( that's passed) but now I'm back .
I recently purchased a 58 beetle and a 57 shell, my aim is to build 1 car out of the 2. I've also purchased a type 4 1.8 kombi motor that I'm keen to turn into a 914 specs and a DTM shroud system.
I apologise in advance for any stupid questions coming your way
regards
Watto

Re: Hello from Australia
Thanks Steve ,
Here's my first question since my last post, I sold the 58 Beetle and have a complete 56 Oval that I'm currently doing body work, I have the opportunity to purchase a 914 1.7 EA motor complete with ECU , My DTM kit has arrived , I was thinking of grabbing the motor , do you think it's a wise move ?
2nd question . would it be possible to use the 1800 heads with the bigger valves on the 914 motor ,
any suggestions are welcomed
regards
Mark
