Side view mirror set for ‘69 vert

Hi All,

I’m in the final stages of acquiring a 69 KG convertible and the Driver side mirror has been broken off. They are both circular and from all the pictures I’ve seen of this model, the mirrors are rectangular, so I assume they were add-ons from the past. Am I correct in this assumption?
Where it would be the best place to get a new pair of the correct style with mounts? I need to get them to the mechanic to have them installed as I am driving this thing home in a couple weeks and will need to have the top up as well, given the weather, so my sight line through the hazy plastic window back won’t be great.

definately rectangular, they screw into a threaded insert on the door that is held in by 2 screws. Left and right should be different, the passenger side has a longer stalk. you'll need the mounting kits too.
many repros are poor quality, maybe look for 'old good' in the Samba classifieds?
for new I'd look at Airhead or Heritage parts, not Ebay
