Hi Guys.
Is it worth cutting a 19mm sway bar for a 2 inch narrowed beam in the middle , to extend its length for use with a standard length ball joint beam. Thanks.

Worth it? Depends.
Have you got some metal to extend it with? The welder / tools etc. happy with the risk that the weld could fail due to flex at some point.
New sway bar would be around 100, so not much savings?

Yes. Doing the job isn't a problem. I can't sell this bar, as it is , no one seams to want it. which makes it worthless.
I'll give it a go. Not what I'd usually do , but hopefully I can make something of it for little money .

I've a feeling a 3/4 front bar will be too stiff on a light weight fibreglass Vw kit car . It will crash over bumps and the front will let go when cornering on uneven road surfaces.
