Hi,
Seems like the resistor in the rotor arm is a weak point.
Several used ones which probably were in use ok on cars now seem open circuit.
Is the electrical interferance from a non resistor rotor going to affect electronic ignition or cause misfires?
The ht leads are resistor... spark plugs probably not.

More radio noise, if running EFI possible noise issues, but if you are running resistor plugs it supposedly is enough to have one resistor in the circuit.
Note that the biggest gain reliability wise of modern ignition systems is from ditching the HV distributor.
It wouldn't be rocket science to build a trigger setup for a 009 or such that just fired waste spark coils.
( one style in use, with a trigger wheel in the distributor and a megasquirt or such, but it could be ~just triggering a switch like stock, but with two coil outs)
Ray Greenwood could probably do it with parts he has laying around.
