i have a 72 beetle and was wondering is it possible to put 66 fenders on it. i like that style head light set up better.

they should bolt right up if it's a standard. Supers had a different bumper bracket...

Super Fenders are of a totally different design. If you look at the from the front, you will notice that they actually tuck under.
But, you are correct that Standards will not fit Supers and vice versa. Rears will interchange for all Beetles.

So on my 72 SB if i have early rear fenders on it, can i put on early bumpers?

Bolting early fenders on a late model car, or vice versa, will require modifications to the way the bumper brackets fit (particularly on the front).
