I'm surprised no one has responded to this , I read several posts about it on the other pages . you're willing to loose the five lug wheels , right ? I don't know if that spindle will fit or not but the rotor is the same for typs I , III & IV . I'm pretty sure the entire rear brake will swap over to your '67 giving you much better rear drum brakes and a really solid holding parking brake to boot . I did some brake work on a '67 Baja recently that had the typ III rear brakes . FWIW , the typ III rear brake cylinder is the same as the Super Beetle front cylinder .

Yes , they do - hence my comment about loosing the five lug wheels . it's always a toss - up , whether to look cool (5 lug) or stop well (4 lug) both work but disc brakes are a good thing if you really want to drive fast .
