so some punk decided to rip/bend my antenna in half....how do you install a new one? It's an old stock '69 radio...

and one random question...the electro-magnetic cut off valve for the carb...I had some acceleration problems and dangled with it and it seems to get the best rpms when it IS NOT fully screwed in...what's up with that?

now why cant people leave cars alone? i hate it, and sorry to hear about it. but to get the antenna off, all you have to do is unscrew the top of the bottom part with like an adjustable cresent wrench, then it slides out, just kinda feed it through under the hood and it should come out just fine. as long as our 69's are the same, it should work. as for the other ? i dont have a clue, but im sure someone else does. hope this helps.

about the fuel cut off....
your mixture could be to rich and when you unscre the fuel cut off you let alittle air in, which would lean out yur mixture. if this is the case you shold screw it in and adjust your carb properly.
but i am no expert, so i hope some one else answers good lick

thanks guys....the extra air in the mixture makes sense....i'll try to reset the mixture tomorrow and see what happens....
