rear disc brakes

The cb performance rear disc brake set up can also be used. The main components you will want to use are the 914 rotors...which will bolt up with minor center clearancing, and the nice cast brackets which will clamp up between the bearing cover and the face on the control arm with minor machine clearancing to the outer bearing cover. You could go ahead and use the calipers with the kit...but I think I would go with stock 914, two piston calipers and make up a flat shim/spacer if the bolt pattern does not fit the caliper bracket supplied. The CB kit costs about $400 US...but just the brackets alone are about $100...and rotors for 914 rear I can source for about another 100 for the pair. A pair of rebuildable 914 caliper cores...and you are in business...for a bolt on system that will hook up to your existing parking brake cables. Ray

rear disc brakes

Interesting thought Ray....

I wonder how difficult it would be to retro fit the 944 set? That would give the 411/412 the brakes it deserved. Anyone ever look into doing this conversion?
