Will 411 front end fit under a 412?

I am picking up a 412 in NC that is a pretty straight car, but the PO had a gas fire on the floor in his garage and thus the front rubber of the car melted. Bushings, etc. So I have access to a 411 parts car to take whatever i want. Are the control arms, etc., the same?

Yes everything fits straight across...but depending on what year of 412, you may have a different strut bushing configuration. The late model strut bearing with the oddly spaced bolts is better. The struts cartridges are a little different in spacing on the final year, and on the in between years, there was a spacer ring that went on the strut rod after august of 72. Just keep in mind what you have. I would also use the 412 control arms and steering knuckle. They had a superior castor angle built in, used a thicker brake pad and better rotor and caliper. But both front ends will swap just fine. Ray
