Eberspacher time-clock

Post by Chris Percival »

I have just got myself an NOS eberspacher timer clock unit. I have a couple of questions:

How do you ajust the on time of the heater (the orange needle)? I assume its by the same mechanism as the main clock itself, but it doesn't work.

How are are these things?

I am not sure it needs one, but an extra battery was an optional extra.

I've been searching on this topic and am wondering if anyone ever figured how to wire one of these up? Is there a link to a wiring diagram?

Thanks

wiring diagrams (in colour) for all VW models can be found at:http://www.vintagebus.com
They list 411/412 diagrams from 69 - 74 model years, EU and US.

I'll have a look in my instruction manuals tonight for the programming of the timer and I'll write it out for you tomorrow.

Here is a link with the page from the BA4 manual that describes the setting of the clock-timer: http://manuals.type4.org/ba4/ch1/ba4_11b.htm
Hope this is works. Jan Peter

Jan -

Thank GOD for a color wiring diagram at last! I struggled for months with an awful B&W one . . . of course, I have worked through the car's current problems, but nonetheless I have printed out and laminated the appropriate color one for future use.
