Where can I get the fresh air hose for my 412? 1.8, L-Jet, California. I have tried aircooled.net, pelican parts, most chain auto part stores, hardware stores, and can't find anything. ???

Define which fresh air hose please? Would that be from the body opening to the throttle body? Wagon or two/four door? Ray

Sorry, I assumed there was only one fresh air hose. I'm looking for the one from the air filter assembly to the back of the car (by the heater blower). The air filter is the square type.

Sometimes you can find engine-related parts by checking catalog sources for 1972-and-up baywindow buses. Since these buses have Type 4 engines, that is. I have gotten different types of oversized paper hosing for my 412 by using bus parts vendors at VW shows. I have also gotten various items from Bus Boys--they have heater blower hose which might be what you need.

Ok....so you have an L-jet injected...wagon or sedan? Either way, thats a tough hose to find because on the sedan it has to make a sharp bend under the air cleaner. I'll see what I can find. Ray
