I have the fluid line off, and the 2 nuts that hold it to the trans housing, and it will not budge.........Mind you I am removing eith the motor and trans in the car..................

Anyone been thru this?

I always loosen the nuts, keep the fluid line on, mash the clutch pedal down, that will allow it to loosen up without flying off. Since your fluid line is already off, tap the slave cylinder a bit.

The problem is usually corrosion around the cylinder. The difference between the steel of the cylinder and the aluminum of the case causes galvanic corrosion. Penetrating oil and a very thin screwdriver wedged carefully between the case and the cylinder upstream of the suds about 1/2" will usually get enough movement to get fluid between the parts. When reinstalling, use a hone..or sand the hole in the case...then put a liberal coating of anti-sieze on it. Ray
