There is some guy on an auction site we all know that says he has window rubber (Euro Style) for 411's and 412's. Might be a REAL source for these hard to find things.

FYI I've been communicating with the same guy Jeff at wrenchmonkey@revolks.com and he has 'Cal-look' style seals (no slit to insert chrome trim), windshield = $45, rear window = $38, side windows = $32.

Says he started by making Cal-look seals because he didn't know if the chrome trim could be safely removed and reused. Says he will look into ordering a batch of original-style seals (with slit for chrome trim) if there is enough interest so everyone should drop him an email if they think they might want to order one or more seals.

I have been talking to him also. I wonder if his rear seal is for a Square or Fastback?

Hey what is the amer(euro) type seal? Is that the one with the chrome insert? So which seals are in stock? Are these the ones from the same person from Ebay? Thanks Bill

The american seals have the chrome trim. I would hope that we ALL patronize this guys business if the parts are right. This guy could turn out to be the ONLY all type 4 source in the USA if it can be made worth his while. I will offer him anything I can that he can make available to others. Ray

Can you reuse the chrome inserts for the window seals? Do the new seals come with the chrome? Can you tell me the price on the seals you have for the 2door sedan?
Did you say you had carpet kits? What kinda kits, original floor or kickside too.
Thanks again, Bill

Yes..Gecko is this person. got an e-mail a few days ago. They have the carpets. They produce and bind them on premises. Same with headliners. I am not sure if he has the chrome inserts. I don't want them for mine...so I did not ask, but he has seals with and without groove for chrome. I will be purchasing seals and carpet from him as soon as possible. Ray

Just an FYI!

Post by JawKnee »

Hey just an FYI, I bought some "GERMAN T3 DOOR SEALS" from Wrenchmonkey off ebay, I spent $90 on the things, expecting to get german door seals, I was shipped a set of brazillian generic door seals that are available for $20 a set. I sent them back, he said that he accidently sent the wrong ones, then sent the EXACT SAME pair back to me again. I asked for a refund, and had to eat about $20 in shipping. lame experience, and I won't buy from them again.

Just my 2 cents. be aware.

I have spoken to Jeff several times Via e-mail. They seem to be straight up guys and know what they are talking about. Talk to them. I will be in his area next week on business and will go to see him and inspect the seals, though itwill be next month before cash to buy any comes my way.. I will post a report. They are nice people.
