what is that noise?!

I just heard the strangest noise in my 72 ghia on the way to work today. It sounds to me like its coming from the front end.. possibly behind the tire but I'm not quite sure. Its a knocking sound and it only happens when I take off, or turn sharp but it doesn't happen all the time. I was hearing a humming noise so I replaced the bearings in the front a few weeks ago and it hasn't hummed since. Can someone tell me what the knocking noise might be? (its not coming from anything in the trunk)

If you have a 66 late-74 ghia.It sounds like a knocking noise it probably is the front ball joints.You have one upper and one lower ball joint on each side.
