Does anyone have any pics of ghias with narrowed beams?Details would be cool too but not essential.
Thinking about narrowing the front of my '68, for a tougher, lower look, and want to see other examples first.

Hey 70'140- I have seen that Ghia in person about twice now, it is one nice piece of work I'll tell ya that. They did an article over it in hot vw's a few months back (sept- aug?) as well. Can anyone remember what it ran at Ennis? Mid 12's is what I'm thinking? oh well, his beam is narrowed 3.5 inches.

Looking good people.
Had the blue ghia as my desktop pic for a while. Kinda made me think of doing it.
Keep em coming...this is great.

No, sorry to admit... Belongs to Lars Häsä from Sweden. My personal favourite along with Mike Lawless' '65 Ghia of the Renn-Käfer Cup fame.
Would not mind though... mine's a '65 coupe.

My question -- how much can you narrow your beam without having to modify anything else, like the inner fenders to clear the shock towers?

My 63' is narrowed 1.5" total, and I had to cut the back half of the shocktower off. Still had to use a floor jack to squeeze it in there.
