Reproduction Hubcaps, any good?

Post by mcdmusic »

I am looking to buy reproduction hubcaps, is it worth it to get German ones redone, or are the rp's ok?

I am right now looking at the ones from CIP1.

BTW 71 Ghia vert, so they are easy hubcaps to find.

Ask the guys at CIP. They won't BS you.
These are real guys who like and own VWs, just like you.

If I did, I'd drive much nicer cars. Image
No, I mean really. Sometimes I get the impression that a lot of people think that parts places won't tell you the truth, or give you an honest opinion, and I don't beleive that's true. These outfits depend on their reputation and, I should think, look far and wide for the most knowledgable staff possible. I know California Import Parts, wherever possible, provide both economy and "best quality" versions of many of their parts. They wouldn't do that if they were just in it for the money.
While I don't know anyone at CIP personally, I do see beautiful cars in their parking lot, credit given to them in magazine articles, etc. I've never bought a VW part anywhere else ever.
Just doing my bit to support the locals, that's all.
